      2012 season cancelled

We would like to thank everyone for your support for the 2011
season. We really cannot tell you all how much we appreciate the faith you put
in us to grow natural produce for your family to enjoy. We are so glad there are
people with like minds who believe it is important to know where your food is
coming from and how it is grown or raised.
We have had a family situation that has caused us to not be able
to grow a 2012 season. We are heartbroken to write this but we can’t see a way
of producing the garden this year. We are sorry to let you down and we are
optimistic that we will be able to provide a 2013 season. My dad has always
said that ground needs to be left follow every 4 to 5 years and I guess this
year we will be putting most of our garden plot into follow and only a small
garden for our family. I guess we have to look at the positive in every
        situation.
      Thankyou again
      Barbara

We at Oxyoke Farms are offering a CSA membership to our naturally home grown garden. We do not use any commercial sprays or fertilizers in our garden. What is CSA? CSA is community supported Agriculture. This type of membership allows small farms like ours to supply fresh produce to families like yours in our community and surrounding areas without the cost and harm of transportation, processing and distribution. Locally grown and locally enjoyed.

Your CSA membership buys you a share of our garden. We both share all the benefits as well as the failures of growing a summer garden. We grow a wide variety of vegetables from A to Zucchini and many in between. As the growing season progresses, different vegetables will fill your basket.

We at Oxyoke Farms will deliver your fresh grown vegetables to a centralized pickup area.  We have two locations this year.  Our Calgary location is at the Sears parking lot at the North Hill Mall on the corner of 16th Ave and 14th St. on Thursday evenings from 7:00 - 8:00. We also have a pickup on Wednesdays at the Airdrie Market by the Legion from 3:00 - 7:00. The price for a full share of farm-fresh produce, suitable for a family of four or two vegetarians, is $500 for the season (about 12 weeks depending on the weather).  The price for the half-share, is $280.

Veggie List:  Beets, Beet Greens, Broccoli, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Swiss Chard,  Onions, Lettuce, Herbs, Kale, Leeks, Peppers, Potatoes, Radishes, Tomatoes, Turnips, Squash, Zuccinni.
Veggies are subject to change depending on growing season.

We do not require that the members work in the garden, but we encourage members to come out and visit and experience the garden and farm.

Please contact us if interested in becoming a member.

All our vegetables are pre-sold through the C.S.A program, we are not a U-Pick.
